Star-a-berry Salad
I believe that the original recipe for this was called Strawberry Salad. Once when we lived in Missouri the Hotel and Restaurant Management program used this recipe in their Thursday Night Dinner, designed to allowed the students to practice their restaurant skills. There was a typo on the menu. We liked it so we just went with it.
The secret ingredient in the dressing for this salad is the Worcestershire sauce. Sometimes I will just add some to a store-bought Italian dressing and it really does punch up the flavor.
But also, using fruit in a green salad. I always try to add something fruity, even if it is just a handful of craisins or some canned Mandarin orange slices. They add so much‼
