Mexican Cheese Ball
The cheese ball used to be the elegant appetizer of choice for adult parties. They spend the party getting more and more mis-shaped, but they do make an impressive platter.Â
Yield: 6 inch cheese ball
Time: 20 minutes preparation, 4 hours ahead
Ingredients:
8 oz cream cheese
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp hot sauce
2 tbs milk
2 cup grated cheese
1/2 cup chili powder
Instructions:
Beat cream cheese, in an electric mixer, until fluffy. Add Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and milk. Continue beating until creamy. Fold in grated cheese. Form mixture into a ball. Roll ball in chili powder and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate at least 4 hours to allow flavors to marry.
