Bacon Water Chestnuts
This was an appetizer that Chee-chee loved to make. I remember them sitting on her chop block in her first Houston house.

Ingredients:
8 oz bacon, cut in half crosswise
8 oz whole water chestnuts, drained
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
toothpicks
Instructions:
Wrap 1/2 bacon strip around each water chestnut. Secure bacon with a toothpick. Place all wrapped water chestnuts into a casserole dish.
Mix chili sauce and sugar together. Pour the sugar mixture over the water chestnuts and bake for 45 minutes at 350°.
