Lynn’s Fish Marinade
Years ago, when soy sauce was the most exotic of ingredients and marinade was a new concept, Lynn came up with this marinade for fish. She made fish for us at the beach, grilling it outside, and it was so wonderful. I asked her to do it for Krystalyn’s wedding and it was just as good!
The recipe has been in one of the kitchen drawers at the condo for all these years, and I hope our guests try it because it’s a winner.
Yield: marinade for 2 lb. Of fish
Time: 20 minutes preparation, 2-3 hours hold
Ingredients:
2 clvs garlic
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup salad oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup lemon juice
3 tbs fresh parsley, chopped
2 tbs onion, grated
1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions:
Mash garlic and salt together. Stir in other ingredients. This will marinade 2 lb. of fish or peeled shrimp. Marinade for 2-3 hours before cooking fish.
