This is great breakfast drink. For those of us who don’t particularly like the taste of milk, it is a great help.
Time: 5 minutes
Special Equipment: Blender
Ingredients:
2 bananas
4 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 cup ice cubes
Instructions:
Place everything but the ice cubes into a blender. Blend until smooth and begin dropping in the ice cubes. Add more as you hear the crunching noises subside.
Drink immediately.

Nowadays we are adding lots more than bananas to our smoothies. We use all kinds of berries and other fruits, yogurt, protein powder, and spinach. We don’t always use spinach, but if you don’t mind a green smoothie it adds lots of nutrients. Just be careful not to add spinach to an otherwise red smoothie. The color can be pretty awful.
Also, we like using frozen fruit. It reduces the amount of ice needed.

Makes 2 – 16oz smoothies
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen mango
1 cup frozen spinach
1 cup vanilla yogurt
1 cup milk
2 scoops protein powder
½ tsp nutmeg (freshly ground please)
1 tbs agave nectar (or to taste)
Ice as needed
